About Studio Hammarö
A gallery for the Nordic interior
Studio Hammarö is a gallery specialising in Scandinavian design and antiques. Based in Sweden, we source and sell carefully selected furniture, lighting, mirrors and objects from the Nordic tradition, primarily from the mid-20th century.
The studio was founded by Kristian Sörtensen with a single aim: to make exceptional pieces accessible to people who care about how they live with objects. We believe that the things around us matter, that the right piece in the right room changes how a space feels and how you feel within it.
Our collection is deliberately small. We would rather offer twenty pieces we believe in completely than two hundred chosen for volume. Each piece is photographed, researched and described honestly, including condition notes where relevant.
Authentic Heritage
Every piece is sourced from verified provenance. We work directly with collectors, estates, and auction houses across Scandinavia to bring genuine pieces to market.
Expert Curation
We select for quality of design first. Age and rarity matter less to us than whether a piece represents an idea executed with conviction and craft.
Personal Service
We work closely with each client to find pieces suited to their space and collection. Enquiries are handled personally by Kristian Sörtensen.
